I was pleasantly surprised by how soft and pliable this 5-6 oz chrome-tan leather is straight out of the package. The brown color is rich and even across the whole 23 sq ft hide. Makes me want to start another project just to use more of it.

This hide is exactly the 5-6 oz weight I need for holsters, and the chrome tan keeps it pliable without feeling flimsy. At 21-25 square feet, one hide covered two full projects with room to spare. The brown color is rich and even across the whole surface.

The grain on this hide is surprisingly consistent for a chrome tan, and the 5-6 oz. thickness feels perfect for tooling without being too stiff. I’ve already cut out two projects from it and the brown color is rich and even throughout.
