Basketweave & Scallop Edge Embossed Belt Blank

I'd been looking for a belt blank with a truly deep emboss, and the basketweave pattern here is crisp and extends all the way down. Trimming it to my size was straightforward, and the full-grain leather has a nice, sturdy feel.

Took this to my local leather shop to get sized, and the way the scalloped edges trace the full length adds a nice touch you don't see on typical blanks. The deep basketweave pattern held up perfectly after I dyed and finished it.

The scallop edges are so cleanly cut I barely needed to sand them down—just trimmed, dyed, and it looks store-bought. Punching the holes was easy too, and the leather feels sturdy without being stiff.
