I was a bit worried about the visible marks mentioned in the description, but they actually give the leather a really cool, rugged character for my knife sheaths. The 3 to 3.5 oz weight is sturdy yet still easy to cut and stitch by hand.

The 5 oz thickness was exactly what I needed for heavy-duty belt blanks, though I did have to work around a few natural brand marks in the hide. It cuts cleanly and the temper is nice and firm for tooling.
