Finally got the 2.5 in. size for a heavier work belt and the brass finish has a nice, warm gleam that stands out from the usual plated hardware. The prong fits snugly through the leather, so it doesn't wobble, and the weight feels substantial without being clunky.

Swapped out the flimsy buckle on my dog's collar for the 1-inch brass one and the difference is night and day. The prong lines up perfectly and the finish hasn't dulled at all after a few weeks of walks.

The 1 inch size fits my leather belt strap perfectly, and the solid brass has a nice weight to it that feels way sturdier than the plated buckle I replaced. Polished up beautifully with a little brass cleaner and it's holding up great after a few weeks of daily wear.
