The brass core on this buckle has a nice weight to it that the cheap zinc ones I've used before just don't have. Nickel plating still looks clean after a couple months of daily riding, no pitting or flaking so far. Fits my 1 inch strap perfectly with no wobble.

The nickel plating on these brass buckles hasn't dulled at all after a full season of mud and rain. I swapped out the cheap ones on my western saddle and the 0.75 inch size threaded perfectly. Solid weight to them too, they feel like they'll outlast the leather.
