This leather side is incredibly soft for chrome tan, and the 4 to 6 oz weight feels substantial without being stiff. I cut a few belts out of it and the edges burnished up nicely, exactly what I needed for my leathercraft project.

I was pleasantly surprised by how much surface area you get—over 21 square feet is plenty for several small projects. The chrome tan leather has a nice, consistent color throughout, and it cuts cleanly without much effort.

The 4-6 oz thickness is exactly what I hoped for—stiff enough for tooling but still bends around edges without cracking. Cut out several wallet pieces from the 22 sq ft and had plenty left over for a belt. Chrome tan means it smells clean out of the box, not like some veg-tan hides I've dealt with.
