I was pleased that the three buckles in the set are actually matched in size and finish, so they work together on one hatband. They're lightweight enough not to pull on the hat's fabric, but the spring-action on the clip is stiffer than I expected for just decoration.

The shiny silver finish really pops against a dark felt hatband. I used them to dress up a plain fedora and the three buckles give it a nice western touch. They are strictly decorative as described but that's exactly what I needed.

Finally got these to finish off a hatband project, and the shiny silver finish is exactly what the photos showed. The three-piece set gives you a spare, which is handy since they’re purely decorative—don’t expect any real buckling action, but that’s what I wanted anyway.
