The chrome tanning left this hide buttery soft right out of the box, and the 7-9 square feet is plenty for a solid knife roll project. I was bracing for the arrow holes to be a problem, but they're actually easy to work around.

The 3-4 oz weight is spot on for a leather project that needs some structure, and the hide came in at a generous 8 sq ft with a rich, even tan color. Some of the holes near the edges were a bit more numerous than I expected, but they add character and work fine for what I'm stitching.
