The black is deep and even across the whole hide, and at 1–2 mm it’s got just enough firmness for structured pieces without feeling stiff. I’ve already cut two panels and the edges burnish up nicely.

The black is so deep and glossy it looks almost wet in good light, and the chrome tan gives it a nice, supple hand right out of the bag. I’ve been using a piece for a wallet lining and the 1.2mm thickness is easy to skive but still holds its shape.
