The chrome tan makes this leather surprisingly pliable for the 5-6 oz weight, so it’s easy to work with on my holster project. The light brown color is consistent across the whole hide, with only natural variation.

The 5-6 oz weight feels substantial without being stiff, and the light brown color is exactly what I wanted for a custom bag project. It's my first time working with chrome tan leather, and I'm impressed with how smooth and consistent the surface is.

I was pleasantly surprised by how evenly the chrome tan took the finish on this hide. The 5 to 6 oz thickness gives it a nice, workable weight without being too stiff. Just wish it came in a more consistent square footage across the whole piece.
