The leather's 1.2 mm thickness feels substantial but not stiff, and the chrome tanning gives it a nice smooth finish. I used it for a wallet project and was impressed by how evenly the pearl texture carried across the 20 square feet.

The 18 square feet gave me enough material for a couple of small bags, and at 1.5 oz it's surprisingly consistent across the whole hide. Chrome tan makes it feel really soft and workable.

I’ve been working with this hide for a week now, and the double butt section gives me plenty of usable area for wallets without waste. The 2.5 oz weight is perfect for tooling—not too stiff but holds detail well.
