This piece is a solid 15 square feet with a consistent 12-ounce thickness throughout, so I got plenty of usable leather for a saddle seat and some straps. The veg-tan takes a nice burnished edge with just a little water and elbow grease.

I was pleasantly surprised by how consistent the thickness is across this side—great for tooling without unexpected thin spots. At 15 square feet it gave me plenty of room for a couple of holsters and a belt.

Picked up a side for some knife roll projects and was pleasantly surprised by how consistently thick the black dye runs through the veg-tan. The 10 to 17 oz range meant I could carve a sheath without worrying about weak spots.
