The aniline dye really makes the leather pop without hiding the natural grain. I was worried about stiffness, but it's already supple enough to start a project right away.

Finally got this veg-tan side for a custom belt project, and the aniline dye really gives it a rich, even color that makes the leather pop. The skirting is thicker than I expected, which should hold up well for tooling.

The side is cut clean and even, which made laying out my pattern a breeze. That aniline finish really does give it a rich, uniform color that I didn't have to work to achieve. It's sturdy but still takes a crease well, so I'm happy with how my project turned out.
