I was bracing for a stiff, board-like piece, but at 8 to 9 oz., this shoulder has a nice, firm temper that still bends around curves without fighting me. The 12 square feet gave me plenty of room to cut out a holster and a belt, and the black finish is even and consistent across the whole surface.

The black color is a true, deep black that goes all the way through, and the 8-9 oz weight gives it a solid, substantial feel without being too stiff to work with. I'm already planning my next project with this double shoulder.

I was pleasantly surprised by how evenly the black dye took across the full 13 square feet. The 8 to 9 oz. weight gives it a nice, firm feel for tooling without being too stiff to work with.
