Used a square foot from this side for a wallet project and was surprised how evenly it skived across the whole piece. The consistent color from one section to another saved me from having to match panels.

The pebble texture is just right for tooling—not too smooth, not too rough—and the color stayed uniform across all three panels I cut. I was worried about stiffness, but it’s genuinely soft and folds easily around edges.

Finished two projects with this hide and the color matched perfectly across both pieces, which rarely happens with leather. The finish is light enough to let the natural grain show while still feeling soft and supple right out of the box.
