This leather is surprisingly flexible for its 3 to 6 oz. thickness, making it easy to cut and tool without cracking. The chrome tanning gives it a smooth, consistent surface that takes dye evenly.

I needed a piece that was consistently thick across the whole hide, and this chrome-tan hits 3-4 oz perfectly with almost no thin spots. The 18 sq. ft. gave me plenty for a small bag and a few wallets with zero waste.

The surface is surprisingly smooth with no rough patches, and the 3-6 oz weight feels solid without being stiff. I used it for a wallet and the chrome tan took the dye evenly across the whole 20 sq ft piece.
