I cut a pair of moccasins from this suede split and was surprised how little waste there was from the random holes. The leather holds its shape well after stitching, and it's already softening up with use.

The chrome tanning gives it just the right balance—stiff enough to hold shape on the saddle seat I stitched, but it cut cleanly with a sharp knife. There’s a small brand mark on one corner, but for the price, that’s hardly a complaint.

Used a square foot of this to patch a worn saddle seat and the chrome tan took the dye perfectly. The few small brand marks actually add character for western gear. It's thick enough for hard use but still easy to hand-stitch.
