The leather took a very clean, deep impression when I stamped a floral pattern on it. It's firm but not overly stiff, which made cutting and tooling feel smooth. The natural marks on this C grade side give it a bit of character that I actually like.

Carving a belt with this hide was a breeze — the surface took the swivel knife cleanly and every stamp popped like it was supposed to. Sure, there's a faint range mark or two, but that just adds character for a C grade. Exactly what I needed for daily projects.
