The two-tone brush finish is really striking in person, and the 3–5 oz weight makes it substantial but still easy to cut and stitch. I’ve already made a small wallet and a key fob from one hide, and the surface takes creasing and edge paint without any trouble.

I needed a leather piece with some extra body for a craft project, and the 3 to 5 oz thickness here was just right. The brushed texture takes dye beautifully, and the two-tone look gives it a rich, vintage feel that other single-shoulder hides don’t have.

The chrome tanning makes this 4 oz shoulder incredibly soft and pliable right out of the box, and the two-tone printing gives it a rich, unique look. I cut a strap for a bag and was surprised how easily it burnished.
