This 3-5 oz leather is beautifully consistent in thickness across the whole 13 sq ft piece. I cut two small bags from it and the chrome tan takes dye and edge paint really nicely.

The 3-4 oz weight is perfect for holsters and small goods—sturdy enough to hold shape but still easy to skive. One 13 sq ft side gave me enough for a wallet and a knife sheath. The black dye is consistent with no fading at the edges after cutting.
