I was tired of messy brush application, so the built-in regulator on this roller was exactly what I needed for clean, even coats. Worked great on a leather belt, and cleanup was surprisingly quick.

The regulator works great for controlling how much dye the roller picks up, which saved me from a few messy starts. I only wish the well was a bit deeper so I didn't have to refill it as often on longer straps. It did speed up my belt project noticeably.

The ribbed roller applies dye evenly enough for a small belt, but the well feels a bit shallow for continuous use. Takes a few passes to get full coverage on thicker straps.
