Cutting out the pattern pieces took me about an hour, but the way the curves line up for the forearm seams makes the whole assembly super forgiving. I paired them with a tunic for a Renaissance fair and got a surprising number of compliments, and they held up fine through a full afternoon of walking

The layering instructions for the leather and rivet positions are so clear that even my first bracer came out looking like it belonged at a proper Renaissance faire. I made two pairs for archery practice and they fit snugly over my forearm without shifting mid-draw.

I was nervous about making my own armor pieces, but this pattern for the bracers fit perfectly with my standard size forearms. The detail on the straps and lacing holes looks authentic for my Renaissance fair costume.
