The bristles are firm enough to lift dirt from my suede boots without scratching them. I've used it on both my nubuck sneakers and leather loafers with great results.

The wooden handle gives me a good grip even when my hands are a bit sweaty, and the natural bristles do a thorough job on my leather work boots without scratching them. I've used it on suede and mesh sneakers, too, and it really lifts the dirt without damaging the fabric.

I was worried the wooden handle would feel cheap, but it’s got a nice weight to it, and the bristles glided over my suede boots without scratching them at all. Even the shoelaces came out looking fresher after a quick pass.
