I was surprised how well these held up when applying dark stain—no crumbling or shedding fibers into the finish. They rinsed clean easily for multiple uses, too.

Finally, a sponge that actually degrades instead of sitting in a landfill forever—the wood fiber texture holds stain just right without shedding fibers. I used it to wipe down a freshly oiled leather strap and it cleaned up perfectly.

I've been using this for dyeing leather, and it distributes the stain evenly without leaving streaks. Glad it's biodegradable too, feels better than tossing plastic ones.
