The leather feels thick and sturdy, not flimsy like the cheap store-bought ones I’ve had before. My dog wore it on a long walk right after I finished the stitching and it held up perfectly.

I punched the holes and assembled it in about an hour, and the pre-cut leather made measuring so much easier. My dog wears a 16-inch neck, and this collar fits perfectly after I trimmed the extra length. The vegetable-tanned leather feels sturdy enough for daily walks around the neighborhood.

The leather had that satisfying, slightly waxy feel right out of the package, and my beagle's new collar looks like it cost three times as much. It's holding up great to daily walks and her occasional roll in the mud.
