The leather is thick and easy to carve, and the pre-cut pieces saved me a ton of prep time. I dyed mine a deep chestnut brown and it came out looking like a professional job.

My daughter and I had so much fun stamping a pattern into the veg-tan leather, and the pre-cut pieces made it easy for her to start right away. It's sturdy enough for our energetic lab, but I wish the instructions were a bit more detailed for beginners.
