The metal has a real heft to it that makes the finished belt feel substantial, and the rectangular opening was perfectly smooth for sliding my leather strap through. I've already stamped a monogram on mine and the surface took the impression cleanly.

I was able to fit a pretty detailed carved design in the recessed area, and the metal edges are clean and smooth—no filing needed. It’s a sturdy base for a custom belt, feels like it’ll hold up well.

Bought this to make a custom belt and the blank takes stamping way better than I expected, the impressions come out crisp with no warping. The rectangle shape gives you plenty of flat room for an inlay too.
