I attached one to a leather journal cover I'm making, and the raised profile gives it just enough room to function as a real button—pretty clever design. The metal has a nice, solid weight that feels quality for the price.

These sit higher than standard conchos, which gave my project a nice raised look and actually made them functional as buttons. I used one on a leather pouch and it works perfectly for both decoration and closure.
