Basket Check Embossed Belt Blank

The leather has a rich, sturdy feel that made trimming and punching the holes surprisingly easy, and the basket weave pattern really pops once you add a coat of dye. I've made three belts from this blank now, each one came out looking store-bought.

The embossing is incredibly deep and consistent across the whole strip, which made it look really premium after I trimmed and dyed it. I was surprised how easy it was to work with for a first-time leather project, and the leather itself feels substantial.

The embossed pattern runs the entire length, which makes it look far more expensive than the blanks I've handled before. Cutting and punching it took maybe ten minutes, and the full-grain surface takes dye beautifully without any blotchiness.
