Dye took evenly across this strip, no splotchy spots like I've seen with cheaper leather. Already used a piece for a belt keeper and it burnished up nicely.

Took a chance on these for a wallet project and the way they soaked up the dye was honestly better than I expected for the price point. The surface is smooth enough that I didn't have to do much sanding before finishing. Good value for a strip when you're not trying to impress anyone with top-grain.
