Old World Veg-Tan comes from a well-established Italian tannery known for producing exquisite leathers using old-world tanning methods passed down from generation to generation. These beautiful cowhides are tanned using a unique process that uses drums made from African iroko wood and a combination of extracts from the bark of quebracho, chestnut, and mimosa trees. Old World Veg-Tan is an excellent choice for leather goods that require a lighter weight of cowhide as well as for tooling or molding.

Ryan O. ★★★★★

I was really impressed by how soft and pliable this leather is right out of the package—it cuts cleanly and takes dye beautifully for my tooling projects.

Michael ★★★★★

This leather smells incredible the moment you open it, with that rich, earthy tannery scent I've been after. The belly section is surprisingly pliable for veg-tan, making it perfect for tooling without cracking.

Scarlett K. ★★★★★

The dye took evenly across the whole hide, and the grain has that soft, almost waxy feel you only get from proper old-school tanning. I’ve been using it for a small tool roll and it’s already forming a nice patina after just a few days of handling.
