These amazing unsplit Sole Bends are veg-tanned and can vary in color over the surface. Properly cased, this leather becomes easily malleable and will hold whatever shape it is formed to once dry. This leather is extremely dense and hard, making it perfect for shoe soles, armor, heels, guards, or any other project that will be regularly subjected to harsh conditions.

Cased it exactly as the instructions said and it molded around the last like a glove once it dried. The unsplit surface does have a few natural marks, but that’s part of the charm for a project like this.

The color variation across this hide gives it a really nice, natural character that you just don't get from dyed leathers. I shaped a wallet piece while it was cased and it held the form perfectly after drying. Four stars only because the surface had a few small mineral marks I had to work around.

Took a bit of patience to case it properly, but once damp the leather molded around my shoe last like it was made for it. It holds its shape perfectly after drying, though the color variation is more patchy than I expected.
