The chrome tanning gives this hide a really smooth, even finish that takes dye beautifully. I was surprised at how pliable the 5-6 oz weight is for tooling, and the 21 square feet was plenty for my project.

The 5-6 oz weight makes this hide feel substantial for belts and bags without being too stiff to tool. I was surprised the color is so evenly saturated across the whole piece.

I’ve been working with this hide for a few days now, and the 5–6 oz thickness gives it a really substantial feel without being too stiff. The red brown color is richer than the product photos suggested, which is a nice surprise. Great for heavier projects like bags or belts.
