This piece is noticeably lighter than the cowhide I’ve used before, which made cutting it for a small wallet exterior incredibly easy. The soft, pliable feel is perfect for liners, and it burnishes nicely along the edges.

I was a bit worried about the tear strength, but for lining my small wallet projects it holds up just fine. The leather is noticeably lighter weight than cowhide, which makes it easy to work with by hand.

I was pleasantly surprised by how light this sheepskin is compared to cowhide, which makes it perfect for sewing into a small bag without adding bulk. The fibers have a nice, even density that worked well for my project, and it cut cleanly without too much fraying. Exactly what I needed for a liner.
