The grain is tight enough that my swivel knife cuts glide cleanly, and the dye soaked in evenly without any patchy spots. Sure, it's C grade with a few scratches here and there, but for the price, I got plenty of usable area for wallets and small pouches.

Cut this shoulder into a few belt blanks and the leather took the dye evenly with no blotching. There are some natural marks on the surface, but for the price they add character rather than being a problem.
