Craftsman 植鞣單肩皮

Stained this piece a rich mahogany and was impressed how evenly it absorbed the dye without splotching. The surface is smooth enough for detailed tooling but still has enough natural character to feel like real leather.

Carved a floral pattern into this shoulder last weekend and the veg-tan took the dye evenly with zero blotching. The C grade surface has a few character marks, but they actually add charm to the finished piece, and it stamps crisp without much effort.

This shoulder cuts beautifully and holds detail better than I expected for a C grade hide. The thickness is consistent across the piece, making it easy to stamp and dye without fuss. I've already started my next project with it.
