I’ve been using this rawhide for moccasin soles and was surprised how light it stays even after cutting. The stiffness makes it easy to shape, and it holds up well under heavy use.

I’ve been cutting this rawhide into thongs for a buckskinning project, and the stiffness holds a knot way better than any scrap leather I’ve tried. It’s surprisingly light too, so my strap doesn’t weigh down the whole piece.
