I’ve never had a veg-tan skin carve this cleanly—the grain holds detail perfectly. It’s soft enough to mold yet sturdy for wallets or belts. Exactly what my leathercraft needed.

I’ve cut a few test pieces for a wallet and the carving holds crisp detail without any tearing, which surprised me for this price point. The surface is remarkably even too, so I’m not hunting around to find a usable section.

The flesh side is so smooth it almost feels pre-finished, and my swivel knife glides through it without any drag. Carved a floral design on my first try and the detail held up beautifully. This is exactly what I needed for my leathercraft projects.
