The drum-dyed finish really brings out the texture in the embossing—makes the ostrich print pop without feeling stiff. The leather is surprisingly pliable right out of the package, and it cut cleanly for my project.

I was a bit worried about how well the vegetable oil treatment would hold up during tooling, but it actually took the stamp beautifully and the drum-dyed color remained vibrant.

The embossing is incredibly crisp and clean on both sides, and the natural oils make it a pleasure to tool without needing extra conditioning. I’ve already cut out two wallets and it carves like a dream.
