The 4-6 oz weight is perfect for my knife sheaths — stiff enough to hold shape but still easy to stitch by hand. I got about 23 square feet out of this side, and the natural brown grain has a nice, even character throughout.

This hide was thicker than I expected at 4-6 oz, which made it perfect for my heavy-duty tool belt project. The rich brown color is even and consistent across the entire 21-square-foot piece.

The grain on this brown hide is surprisingly even for a utility grade, and the 21 to 25 sq. ft. size gave me plenty of room to cut multiple projects without waste. The 4-6 oz weight feels sturdy for belts and straps, and it’s already soft enough to work with right out of the bag.
