The woven embossing on this leather gives it an elegant, textured look that’s hard to find. It’s surprisingly pliable for a veg-tan piece, which made cutting and stitching a breeze. My only small issue is the surface scratches easily, but a quick buff brings back the finish.

The 2-3 oz weight feels just right for a sturdy wallet—not floppy, not stiff. Even after cutting it, the veg-tan leather takes tooling nicely for my first project.

This veg-tan leather has a really nice weight at 3-4 oz, not too flimsy but still easy to work with. I picked up a piece just over 7 square feet, and the weave texture gives it a unique look without being too flashy. Perfect for my next custom belt project.
